Service Description

Spirited Canines Service Dog School was developed after years of research and mentorship. I offer owners support in training their own service dogs for mobility, autism, or psychiatric support needs. If you do not have a dog, reach out to and I will help find the right fit for you. The service dog school follows an individualized curriculum to ensure your dog meets the standards of the Nova Scotia Service Dog Assessment and can successfully support you in your goals of independence, freedom, and confidence. It is intended for dogs with minimal training history. The school prepares each student for Service Dog Graduation. Graduation includes preparation for and taking a formal certification exam through the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Service Dog Program in Halifax. The trainer will accompany you to take the exam, help with bookings and ensuring your paper work is complete. We provide 2 years of follow-up support including free check-ins at 6 months and 1 year post-graduation. Payment plans and cost offsetting are available, if financing is a major issue, you are encouraged to fill out an application and we will work with you based on your needs.
